All ECE diplomas from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (OCAAT) are recognized.  Non-OCAAT programs recognized by the College include:

• A two-year Certificate in Curriculum from the Institute of Child Study;
• An ECE from Mothercraft, taken after 1978;
• Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University;
• Ryerson Polytechnic Institute three-year diploma in Early Childhood Education;
• Nursery Education Association Ontario three-part extension course in Pre-school Education;
• Bachelor of Applied Science with a major in Child Studies from the University of Guelph;
• Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a specialty in Early Childhood; Education from the University of Waterloo, received between 1979-1990.
