About the CCHRSC Trust
The board of directors has taken steps to ensure that access to CCHRSC resources, reports, analysis and data will continue to be available to the sector and others after operations cease in mid-2013.
When to use the Trust
The board’s overall aim is to ensure the sector council’s work will continue to be used as widely as possible to inform human resource issues in the sector. For the most part, we encourage individuals and organizations to download our material free of charge, and quote it in presentations, classes and documents with appropriate acknowledgements.
However, there may be some cases where organizations feel they need permission to use specific material produced by the sector council to satisfy their own requirements, particularly documents that are copyrighted. To that end, we have established the Child Care Human Resources Sector Council Trust.
The primary purpose of the trust is to ensure the availability and proper use of CCHRSC resources, tools and reports for the benefit of the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector across Canada. The trust will do this by granting, assigning or licensing permission to individuals or organizations requesting use of the CCHRSC’s intellectual property. While preference will be given to those within the ECEC sector, individuals and organizations outside of the sector may also be granted permission to use CCHRSC material.
The trustees of the CCHRSC represent the following organizations:
- BC Government and Service Employees Union
- Canadian Child Care Federation
- Canadian Union of Public Employees
- Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada
- Childcare Resource and Research Unit
