Our projects produced research and developed strategies and tools to meet the needs of the child care workforce and achieve related goals. Click on the titles of our projects for more information.

Institute for Human Services Education, Truro
ECE Program:
Early Childhood Education Diploma – 2 years (Full- or part-time)
Prerequisite: High School Diploma

Specialized Course:
Early Childhood Inclusion and Intervention Diploma (Part-time)
Prerequisite: ECE Diploma

The board is responsible for hiring an executive director to ensure there is a skilled manager at the helm to implement the organization's mission and vision. In this section, you will find information geared specifically for board members to address the unique considerations of hiring an executive director.

 

Providers must be at least 18 years old, must complete the Canadian Child Care Federation Family Home Day Care Training (Level One), hold current first aid and infant CPR certificates, provide criminal reference and child abuse registry checks, and participate in ongoing professional development training.
